Client Service Professional (full time)                  

We are seeking a Client Service Professional for our financial planning and investment division. This individual will support our financial advisors by handling client service requirements, compliance documentation, and managing the flow of projects around the office. The role is very paperwork-intensive and requires strong attention to detail. Associate’s degree or higher preferred. This individual may work from either our Freeport or Rockford office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a smooth workflow of documents and new account openings. 
    • Prepare new account forms for client signature
    • Process forms after signature
    • Track progress until account is funded
  • Occasionally, attend client meetings
    • Take notes and assist with any paperwork.
    • Record meeting notes in CRM software to maintain accurate and detailed records
  • Assist with client servicing
    • Handle ongoing needs of existing clients, such as address or beneficiary changes, account deposits or withdrawals, and preparing annual review documents
    • Communicate with clients directly on service items or to schedule meetings
    • Monitor a general “Service” email for the firm
  • Maintain client database
    • Document progress of each project in central database
    • Ensure that client changes (email, phone number, address, etc) are correct in all systems
    • Make sure all physical documents are correctly scanned and archived
  • Office Administration
    • Order office supplies, financial marketing pieces, etc. when needed
    • Track office expenditures
    • Other project management, as needed

Although this role is administrative in nature, the Client Service Professional would be required to exercise a degree of independence and take responsibility for the flow of projects around the office. This is not an assistant position and you will be an integral member of the financial team, providing support to advisors so they may spend their time focusing on clients’ investment and financial planning needs. This position will not be required to achieve any investment licensing and will be fully trained on all paperwork requirements.


About us: Lucas Group started as an accounting firm and added financial planning in 2014. As an independent financial planning firm, we work to produce a comprehensive financial plan for our clients, and work with a number of different financial and investment companies to find the best portfolio fit. Our team currently consists of four financial advisors, two of whom are also accountants. Position includes paid time off, health insurance, and retirement benefits. 


Starting pay: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience
